Tony Penn and Owen Roberts have
now completed a listing of the Peco 00 and TT
Wonderful Wagon kits
It started as a posting on the TCS E-group
I have accumulated almost
without noticing about 30 different Peco
Wonderful Wagon kits over the years. They make a colourful addition to
my Dublo collection. But does anyone have or know where to find a
difinitive listing of the range / variations / history?
Thanks - Tony Penn
Followed after many replies by:
Owen Roberts and I have taken
on the task of listing the range of Peco
Wonderful Wagons. My collection (it turns out after researching the
range) takes in all the first series (from 1954 to 1960). Does anyone
have any of the following early series with full alumium bodies - or
are they all wooden uppers? C & G Ayres, W Craven Llewelyn, Devlins,
Hickling, Parkend, Frank Jackman, Peterborough Co-Op, Shelley, Wm
Tickle, Richard White, C & G Ayres Weathered, Frank Jackman (Weathered).
We are also particuarly interested in checking out ANY unmade Peco Kits
(except the Tank Wagons still in production today). Plus the early Peco
Catalogues from 1954 to approx 1965.
Please contact me off list if you have any details on the above.
Many Thanks
Tony Penn
After a variety of replies the following message was posted.
We are working on the listing
of Peco's Wonderful Wagon Kits. Whilst
much progress has been made on the dates of first production, one
mystery (as I lack a full set of catalogues) is when did the production
or I suppose more importantly availability of the TT wagon kit range
cease - sometime between 1972 and 1977 is the nearest I can get. The 00
Kits dissapeared between 1984 and 1997... yup the gaps in the
catalogues available to me are big! (Thanks to James Day for the loan
of his)
So can you loan me the catalogues in the gaps above please - or at
least take a look and see where they stopped being listed in the price
list that should accompany those catalogues. I'm also interested in
taking a look at the W&H catalogues. Contact me off list please to save
the majority being bored.
This E-group thread has now culminated in the following list
Thanks to Tony and Owen and all who contributed to this research
