An Editorial comment from the May 1988 Edition of the TCS News

After publishing the Archive articles on the Web Site, the following message was posted on the TCS E-group by Hans van Dissel one of our members.

I enjoyed the Archive section on the site very much, especially the items on Stronlite and Paya. I happen to have the electric loco the then editor Peter Randall was lusting after - having bought it around 1988 - and it ran fine until the terrible quality of the mazac (zamac) wheels (they literally fell apart) showed itself. A couple of years ago I was able to buy a replacement motor with wheels on eBay Germany, where there was an importer/dealer who produced better quality wheels, so I have got the loco upand running again.

Subsequently we were sent the following message and photographs by Hans

I have taken some pictures of my Paya electric, which I enclose herewith. I had saved the sad remains of the original motor and wheels, so I've made a picture of those.

Thanks very much Hans
