CMES President, Ron Bignell introduces the events	Chairman Mike Williams says a few words	Pete Waterman officially opens the building	and gives a very witty speech

Flowers are given to guests, Mrs Nancy Andrews and the Lady Mayoress		The President proposes a toast to the CMES	Pete Waterman proposes a toast to the CMES on behalf of the Guests

Pete Waterman is presented with a gift on behalf of the Society		and Honorary Life Membership of the Society	Pete Waterman with the Lord and Lady Mayoress of Cardiff

The Guests and Members then enjoyed a Buffet prepared and served by the Ladies of the Society, set out in the Library.

The day started with the unexpected early arrival of Pete Waterman, who was given a tour of the site by Mike Williams.



		Pete showed extensive knowledge of the machinery in the workshop.	He unveiled Graham Penn's new Locomotive

		and met some of the Ladies


	Mrs Nancy Andrews arrives	Pete tries out the A4 for size	and did a 'High Speed' pass of the building.

Just one or two cameras recorded the event!	He would have liked to spend more time driving it.	Oldest and youngest members, Wallace and Jack	The Lord Mayor took a circuit of the site driving Rob's traction engine.
